Better to use AI to be 10 times smarter rather than 10 times faster.

One of the traps that AI novices fall into, is “wow look at what I just wrote in 10 seconds”. They get all excited about what they can do with AI, and set about delegating the act of writing to the AI.

Staff do this in emails to clients. Students write their assignments this way. It is doomed to failure.

Experienced AI users take a different approach. They use the AI to team up with them, and use it to write smarter, not faster.

STUDENTS

For instance, if doing a student assignment, don’t say “here is my assignment, write a 2000 word essay for me”.

Instead, ask it the following
👉 List out some unique ways to approach this assignment.
👉 List out the core facts that need to be covered.
👉 Bullet point an outline using xyz style
👉 List ways in which following can be improved.
👉 Etc.

And then write it yourself with all those cheat sheets.

STAFF

For instance, if writing a requirements document, don’t say “here is the request, write the requirements”.

Instead, ask it the following:
👉 List out the common complaints made by users.
👉 List out the top features loved by users.
👉 List out any ambiguous clauses and explain why.
👉 Bullet point different ways to organize the requirements.
👉 Etc.

And then write it yourself with world class knowledge.

SLAVE OR MENTOR?

So don’t delegate your writing to the AI as if it is your slave, team up with it to be your mentor!

Choose if you want 100 average emails by the AI, or 10 extraordinary ones by you?
